Dated 1851. 2 flat elliptical-arched bridge running E-W across Blackadder Water. Yellow sandstone with channelled ashlar dressings; stugged squared and snecked sandstone to quadrants. Rounded cornice with ashlar parapet and coping. Pointed pier between with pilaster above; pilaster flanking bridge wall. Ashlar name and date plaque to roadside of N parapet.
The bridge was built in the same year as the Allanton Bridge (see separate listing) which spans the point where the Blackadder and Whiteadder meet.
