Description

18th century farmhouse, t-shape on plan, the crowstepped wing which projects in front being a Victorian addition; walls are harled and creamwashed, the older part having deeply recessed windows, some with Gothic astragals. Stanhope was the home of John Murray of Broughton, Secretary to Prince Charles Edward.
