Description

Circa 1840, symmetrical 2-storey 3-bay gabled house;
coursed, squared rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Centre
door with bracketed cornice; slightly advanced outer gabled
bays; 12-pane glazing; coped end stacks; slate roof with
projecting eaves. Simple coped rubble garden walls, with
centre and side pedestrian entrances, each with pair plain
rubble gate piers with stepped rubble caps.

Statement of Interest

By 1837 the (old) manse was "in indifferent repair" and could

not be "made a comfortable house".
