Late 18th/early 19th century; single span rubble bridge
crossing narrow gorge; tooled rubble segmental arch
ring; renewed rubble parapet with concrete cope.
Approximate span; 30'.
Probably constructed by Frasers of Foyers, as only bridge at
Foyers over river before Lower Foyers bridge built 1862.
Carries road that served former Foyers House. Said to have
had simple, single log which spanned gorge and served the
"more coragious foot-passangers" before construction of
present bridge.
