1840-50, possibly remodelling earlier house. 2-storey and
dormerless attic, wide 3 bays. Coursed rubble SW entrance
front, random rubble, harl pointed flanks and rear, tooled
ashlar margins and dressings. Slightly advanced and gabled
centre bay, with entrance with rectangular fanlight; double
leaf panelled door; long flanking bipartites; thick centre
wooden mullions to 1st floor single sash windows; margined
multi-pane glazing to all front fenestration. Ground and 1st
floor single windows in return gables, with smaller centre
attic window; all with 12-pane glazing. Corniced front gablet
and end stacks; pronounced skewputts; saw-tooth skews;
slate roofs.
Contemporary single-storey, 2-bay rear wing.
A new manse was erected in 1763 part of which may be
incorporated in present house.
