cottages. Squared and snecked rubble to front and
sides. Droved raised ashlar margins.
S ELEVATION: 5-bay, U-plan, gabletted. Door at centre
flanked by single windows. End bays gabled and
advanced. Gablet skews and consoled skewputts to gables with
blind slits in gableheads and finials.
N ELEVATION: U-plan. Additional outbuilding.
E AND W ELEVATIONS: 3-bay centre door cottages. Modern
flat-roofed porch addition to W. 12-pane glazing pattern
to sash and case windows. Strip fanlights to doorways.
Slated roof with diamond stacks to ridge.
Formerly called Ivy Cottage. Gable form dating from Lady
Elgin's period of beautification of Dirleton.
