Description

Dated 1797 over door. 3-storey, 3-bay classical mansion house
with single storey flanking wings. Droved ashlar with
polished dressings and architraves. Entrance in central
shallow-advanced pedimented bay has pilastered doorcase with
triglyph frieze and mutuled cornice. 12-pane sash windows
in lugged architraves throughout, those to 1st floor with
cill course and corniced; braod pilaster strips at angles;
mutule cornice. 2 symmetrically placed corniced stacks and
piended slate roof with central dormers on 2-bay side
elevations. Flanking wings with inner tripartites, and
venetian windows in pedimented outer bays. Some good
interior plasterwork, chimney pieces and pedimented
doorcases, but some alterations also. Low flat-roofed
extension to rear.
