Description

Probably David Hamilton, circa 1840. Single storey, 3-bay cottage with later additions to rear and modern additions to left. Painted harl with contrasting painted margins and dressings. Base course. Advanced eaves carried on paired brackets.

SW (MAIN) ELEVATION: 3 bays symmetrically disposed, pilastered door with gable breaking eaves over, modern door; flanking 4-pane sash and case windows with painted trapezoid aprons. 3 window bow on SE elevation. Piend-roofed block at rear.

4-pane timber sash and case windows; slate roof with lead flashings.

GATES, GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: square ashlar gatepiers at centre, guilloche panels, corniced caps, stepped caps, acorn finials. Curved dwarf walls with decorative cast-iron railings terminated by square ashlar piers with carved guilloche panels, bracketed moulded caps and acron finials to those by drive.
