Earl of Dundonald; L plan, with a square tower containing
staircase in re-entering angle; western wing has been
lengthened, but whole building appears to be about the
same period and bears date 1644, a time when the provisions
for defence were dropping into disuse - Entrance doorway
a good example of Renaissance style then prevalent.
