Description

Dated 1845. UP church, roughly square-plan, with round-headed
openings, piended slate roof. 3-bay north front, with advanced
gabled centre, (all other 3 elevations are rubble,) built of
coursed ashlar with polished margins and parapet; tall
doorway central with splayed ingoes, 2-leaf boarded door,
traceried fanlight; parapet continued to gable, apex bellcote
(with bell surviving); distinctive original glazing pattern,
retained almost throughout, small-paned and Y-traceried; 2
wide windows at rear, (south) placed either side of pulpit,
2-bay flanks. Inside, curved gallery at north end, supported
on 4 cast-iron columns. Low session house/vestry at north west
corner.
