Sir Robert Lorimer, 1911-13. 2 storey and attic asymmetrical
house built round a courtyard. Squared rubble plinth, harl
above with tile hanging on 2 storey, canted bays. Front
elevation: 4 bays, centre right bay with 2 storey, projecting
porch finished with Dutch gable; remaining bays with 2
storey canted windows recessed into main wall.
East elevation with polygonal ground floor window at
south, 2 additional projecting bays, substantially altered
at ground floor. West elevation with south bay projecting,
tall stair window on long recessed elevation. Courtyard
no partially filled at ground level.
Interior: much original panelling and plaster ceiling
decoration remains; chimneypieces in hall, dining room and
lounge with Renaissance detailing; wide stair leading to
spacious landing; some tiled fireplaces remain on 1st floor.
