Description

Stables; shallow H-plan, with east facing U-plan court enclosed

by single storey and attic range; mixed rubble, with grey

granite tooled dressings. 5-bay centre block with round-headed key-stoned centre entrance flanked by giant pilasters and long

windows with bracketted cornices. South range contains single

storey and attic, 3-bay cottage with carriage house; additional

4th bay, with blind windows in east gable and south, opens onto

court. Corniced centre door to cottage; 3 bargeboarded dormers

break wide eaves.

Further segmental headed carriage house in north range of

stable court; band courses on gable ends give impression of

shallow pediments; corniced ridge and end stacks; joisted

eaves; slate roof.
