Description

Circa 1870; 2-storey, asymmetrical gabled shooting lodge;
slate hung exterior with painted timber margins; swept roof
extending over verandahs on 3 sides of main block, supported
by bracketted timber posts. 2-storey canted window at SW
angle; mainly 2-pane glazing; coped bullfaced rubble wallhead
and end stacks; slate roofs with projecting eaves.

Statement of Interest

Former Sutherland estate shooting lodge. Verandah detailing

similar to platform verandahs at Golspie (1868) and

Helmsdale (1871) railway stations, built by Sutherland estate.
