Joseph Mitchell, dated 1862. Long double arched viaduct with
smaller, flanking arches over roadways running each side of
river. Coursed rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Large square
buttressed and crenellated central pier and cutwater;
chamfered ashlar segmental arch rings over river and roads;
small central arch with rusticated voussoirs and carved crest
above. Coped ashlar parapet.
Crest inscribed "Fac et Spera".
