1791. Repairs and additions, 1832 and again, by W C Joass,
1869. 2-storey over raised basement, 3 wide bays. Harled,
ashlar dressings. Slightly advanced gabled centre bay with
centre door approached by flight of steps, flanked by blind
narrow windows; blind centre 1st floor window, blind bull's
eye in apex and apex stack. Tripartites in ground floor;
ground and 1st floor windows linked by cill bands; rusticated
quoins; original palmette motif. 4-pane glazing; corniced end
stacks; slate roof. Later wings to rear, mainly 3 elevation.
"Superior to the generality of ministers' houses" (The
Statistical Account, 1797). Former steading, now converted to
dwelling; gighouse and stable block; possibly earlier manse,
with blocked windows with chamfered surrounds and moulded
chimneypiece dated 1681 with initials WRM AM.
