Description

Earlier to mid 19th century 2-storey, 2-bay end-of-terrace
property. Cream painted harling with red sandstone ashlar
dressings; cill course and quoins to outer right. S elevation
with bowed bay to right (window to each floor) and small,
piended roof, slate-hung dormer; bay to left with pilastered
and corniced doorpiece, panelled door and fanlight.
4-pane galzing pattern in sash and case windows. Grey slates.
Ashlar coped skews; 1 brick, 1 stone gablehead stacks.

Statement of Interest

Listed with its terraced neighbours (Green View, Greenmount

and The Cross Keys) for its contribution to Ancrum Village.

South View is the finest of the 4 properties enclosing the

green to the north
