3 principal building phases; nucleus a late 17th/early 18th
century, 2-storey house (now rear wing) doubled in size mid
18th century by piended full-height west-facing addition to
original gable, thus forming T-plan; piended full-size bay
in north re-entrant angle added before mid 19th century.
Pebble-dashed; some ashlar margins to north and to south.
ORIGINAL HOUSE: full-length lean-to abuts east gable;
straight skews and massive apex stack to latter (other roofs
all piended); canted window and wide lean-to to south. MID
18TH CENTURY ADDITION: west elevation has 5 irregular bays,
inner door behind modern porch; single bay flanks. Sash
windows throughout with small-paned glazing; wallhead stacks
in roof valley; slate roofs.
Interior: some doors with raised and fielded panels; mostly
simple cornice plasterwork.
