Description

Late 18th/early 19th century. Comprises 2 cottages, W. part

former school, single storey 2-window and centre door rubble

with painted margins, later crenellation over door; slated

piend roof, angle chimneys. E. part weavers house, single-storey pantiled 4 windows 2 doors. Picturesque.

Statement of Interest

NOTE Kirkton Village as a whole forms a very picturesque

group from its sloping lay out: most houses are basically

Georgian though renovated later in Victorian and Edwardian

times.
