Late 18th/early 19th century. Comprises 2 cottages, W. part
former school, single storey 2-window and centre door rubble
with painted margins, later crenellation over door; slated
piend roof, angle chimneys. E. part weavers house, single-storey pantiled 4 windows 2 doors. Picturesque.
NOTE Kirkton Village as a whole forms a very picturesque
group from its sloping lay out: most houses are basically
Georgian though renovated later in Victorian and Edwardian
times.
