1848. Bridge parapet. Coursed, stugged sandstone ashlar, with droved piers; wide string course; corniced flat coping. Pink sandstone armorial panels to centre of parapets reading "SEMPER VICTOR".
B-Group with Whitehill House. The parapet was originally on 3 elliptical arches, which were replaced with embankments in the late 1960's due to subsidence caused by coal mining in the area. It is possible that the bridge was designed by William Burn at the same time as Whitehill House.
