Terraced house. Late C18 with an early-C20 shop front, partially rebuilt following bomb damage in 1942.
MATERIALS: limestone ashlar, roof unseen.
PLAN: double depth plan.
EXTERIOR: four storeys including attic storey, two window front. Horned plate glass sash windows to the upper floors, those to the first floor have splayed reveals and that to the left has a lowered sill. The attic storey, added later, has a coped parapet and one window to the left over a stopped cornice. Between the first and second floor is a scrolled wrought iron bracket to a former shop sign. The ground floor is rendered with to the right an inset C20 six-panelled door. The shop to the left is flanked by panelled pilasters with circular central panels. The shop window, with moulded sill and rendered plinth, has one plate glass sheet to the front left and a pane that curves into a central set back glazed door and over-light.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
Built as part of a paved street of shops that served the surrounding houses.
