Terrace houses stepped uphill from No.1 to left. Early C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, double-pitched roofs with moulded stacks, some with hand-thrown chimney pots, to left of each house.
PLAN: Double depth plans.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, each house has two-window range. Coped cornices rise over gable ends of returns, stepped cornices, second and first floor sill bands, tall semicircular arched recesses to ground floor windows, similar small recesses over set back semicircular arched fanlights and doors, reeded lintels to six-panel doors with inverted corners to upper panels, blind windows over doors. Originally with six/six-pane and eight/eight-pane sash windows and six-panel doors. No.1 has two/two-pane sash windows, that to first floor has balconette, and late C19 six-panel door with bolection moulding. No.2 has horned six/six-pane sash windows and C20 door. No.3 has two/two-pane sash windows, part of balconette to first floor and C20 six-panel door. No.4 has six/six-pane sash windows to second floor, eight/eight-pane sash to first floor left and C20 window to right replacing blind window over C20 door. No.5 has two/two-pane sash windows and cobweb fanlight. No.6 has two/two-pane sash windows and balconette to first floor. No.7 has two/two-pane sash windows and reeded lintel to door. No.8 has late C19 four-panel door with bolection moulding. No.9 has plate glass sash windows and six-panel door. No.10 two/two-pane sash windows, balconette to first floor and six-panel door.
