Garden shelter in the form of a Greek Doric temple. Post 1835.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar.
PLAN: Square plan.
EXTERIOR: Steps up to front. Two fluted Doric columns `in-antis' support triglyph frieze, cornice and pediment with anthemion acroteria to apex, ends and returns.
HISTORY: Built as one of the principal embellishments of Vellore, the villa built for retired Indian Army General Andrews, where he created a notable Italianate villa garden. SOURCE: Stewart Harding & David Lambert, `Parks and Gardens of Avon¿ (1994), 75.
