FOUNTAIN BUILDINGS

Public house, probably originally so. Late C18, (OS says post 1776), altered late C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rendered and painted on ground floor, painted above, triple Roman tile roof.
PLAN: Double depth central entrance plan, but with single span roof, wing with coach house to left.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys and attic, two windows. Ground floor has fixed bar windows with two-lights over one flanking central panelled door with rectangular light over. Painted plinth, painted platband at window head. First floor has two/two-sashes flanking hanging Inn sign. Mansard roof, hipped to right, gabled to left. Three dormers with two/two-sashes. Ridge stack to left, transverse stack to right. Additional bay to left. Coach house doors below with small modern window to right. eight/eight-sash above. Half hipped roof. Rear elevation not seen.
INTERIOR: Ground floor retains no features of special interest.
This pub was formerly known as the Pulteney Arms.
