Wall, gatepiers, gates, railings and overthrows. c1765. For the Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel, now Building of Bath Museum (qv). Chapel fronted by stone plinth with arrow-head railings that sweep up at sides to meet stone piers with cornices. Courtyards to each side are entered through double gates with long/short arrow-head railings flanked by corniced piers that support wrought iron ogee-arched overthrows with scrolls to bases and tops. Gate pier inscribed with sunken capitals reading 'FORMERLY COUNTESS OF HUNTINGDON'S CHAPEL A.D. 1766'. Metal banners following ogee curves, proclaim `THE COUNTESS OF HUNTINGDON'S CHAPEL'.
