GV II

Farmhouse. c1800 but possibly with an early C18 core; C19 and C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar facade, rubblestone plinth, returns and rear, slate roof with moulded stacks to gable ends.
PLAN: Three-unit plan with rear outshuts.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, symmetrical three-window range. Coped parapet, returned cornice and ground floor platband. Six/six-pane sash windows, those to centre blind with painted glazing bars. Mid C19 enclosed porch with coped parapet and cornice. Front door has quoined surround and six-panel door, four upper panels raised and fielded, lower panels flush and with reeded borders. Rear: two left hand bays have single storey outshut in line with projecting right hand bay has two storeys and inserted quoined doorway to left in late C20 pent roofed log porch (not of special interest) and on first floor, to left, sixteen-pane two-light casement window in quoined surround with chamfered sill. Outshut on left has window to left, door now window to right and late C20 skylight. Returns: quoins, on ground floor at rear, left return has small window and right return C20 opening under pent roof.
INTERIOR: Not inspected. The farmhouse may only have been refronted in c1800, since it resembles four other houses in Weston known to be early C18 in date.
