House, now shop with accommodation over. c1762 with late C18 and C20 alterations. By Thomas Jelly, for Duke of Kingston's Estate.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, painted on ground floor, with pantile roof.
STYLE: Palladian.
PLAN: L-shaped with return to North Parade Passage, Church Street elevation double fronted with central entrance.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attics and basement. Basement plinth with top of windows showing. Central panelled door with rectangular light over and attached Ionic surround with broken pediment. Plat band. Windows are sashes of late C18 type, six/six, in plain reveals. Modillion cornice, parapet, mansard roof with three flat topped dormers, plain sashes, ashlar and rubble stack with pots. Return elevation to North Parade Passage is two bays, six/six sashes over C20 `Georgian' shopfront with six/four panes.
INTERIOR: Not inspected. House appears to be part of development leased to Thomas Jelly in 1762.
