Southey Lodge Dovecote

II

Dovecote. Dated 1797. Coursed rubblestone with C20 concrete tile roof. Rectangular plan. High single storey. Doorway on southern side has plaque in wall above inscribed FS 1797. Window opening in right gable.

INTERIOR. Fine intact set of brick boxes with stone perches surround all four sides. Support for ladder in roof.

This is a fine and little-altered late C18 dovecote which also has a date plaque.
