Milestone, 1896, cast iron. Triangular, downwards sloping top, hollow back. Cast lettering reads 'CHESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL 1896' (top); 'GREAT BUDWORTH 5 MILES, NORTHWICH 8' )left); 'STOCKTON HEATH 1 3/4 MILES, WARRINGTON 3' (right).

HISTORY: Milestone erected in 1896 on the east side of London Road/A49, formerly an C18 turnpike road.
