Pair of attached houses. Early C19. Painted brick. Slate roof with gabled ends and parapet at front. Brick gable-end stacks.
PLAN: Pair of attached houses with mirror-image plans.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 4-bay west front with parapet, moulded cornice breaking forwards over end pilasters, moulded string course at first floor cill level and plinth; 12-pane sashes under flat brick arches, first floor centre two have louvred shutters; central pair of double-recessed round-arch doorways with semi-circular central fanlights and panelled doors, left door with with circular central panel. Rear, round-arch stair window at centre with later C19 stained glass; 12-pane sash and later bay window on right and later extension on left.
INTERIOR: Early C19 joinery, including staircase with stick balusters, slender column newels and moulded mahogany handrail, a reeded chimneypiece with paterae, similarly detailed cupboard and panelled doors; moulded plaster ceiling cornices.
A good example of an early C19 pair of houses.
