Farmhouse, C18 with C19 re-facing, some C20 alterations. Timber-framed with brick walls; deep overhanging pitched thatched roof; brick end chimneystacks. 3 bays and two storeys.
EXTERIOR: Flemish bond red brick with vitrified headers. From left, a C19 square casement window with 4 octagonal panes under cambered arch with vitrified headers, then bricked up former door under similar arch, then C20 door under porch with thatched roof that has wany planks to gable, this under first floor metal casement window, then similar square window to right end. South gable has exposed timber frame, central brick chimneybreast flanked by casements (one is metal) and small outshut; outshut to rear is C20. North gable has some exposed framing, and a chimney rising up from a single storey addition. This and the large C20 extension to rear at north are not of special interest.
INTERIOR: Ground floor has exposed spine beam and light scantling joists. Plank doors. Box frame partition exposed in central bay where there is a timber stair. First floor set into roof, plastered below collar level and with box frame exposed at gable ends. Above collar level is unfinished attic with exposed collars and complete run of pegged rafters with visible lathes and straw.

Listed as an C18 farmhouse with the roof structure and timber wall frame essentially intact, as well as an additional layer of interest in the C19 gentrification seen in the brickwork and windows. The C20 addition to rear is not regarded as of special interest.
