Bank barn. Circa late C18 or early C19. Granite rubble with dressed granite quoins. Hipped and gable-ended roof re-clad in corrugated-iron sheets.
PLAN: Bank barn with shippon in ground floor facing east and barn above with cart entrance at higher grond level at rear [west]. Later in the C19 a short wing was added to the rear of the north end, forming an overall L-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. East front has shippon doorways on ground floor and taking-in doorways on first floor. At rear [west] higher ground level, central cart-entrance at centre and later wing on left.
INTERIOR: Lapped-collar roof trusses and horizontal common-rafters.
A good example of a large Dartmoor bank barn.
