Mill house. C18; altered C20. Stone rubble with dressed quoins and window frames. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. Stone axial stack, heightened in brick with stone dressings.
PLAN: 3-room plan with axial stack between the centre and south west rooms. 1-bay stables and loft at south west end incorporated into house accommodation. Lullington [water] Mill [qv] attached at right angles at north east end.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 1:3 window south east front. 2-light casements with glazing bars, ground floor in stone frames with bead moulded arrises; doorway to right of centre with unchamfered stone frame, plank door and late C20 light wooden porch; to right of doorway a 2-light casement with glazing bars in segmental headed opening and 12-pane sash above; set back on left [south west] end former stables, 2 storeys, 1-bay with late C20 3-light casement windows. at rear [north west] 2-light casement windows disposed towards the left.
INTERIOR: The axial stack has a fireplace heating the ground floor south west end room with dressed stone jambs and a cranked chamfered timber bressumer [earlier and probably re-used].
This is a good example of an C18 mill house attached to a water mill, Lullington Mill [qv].
