House, formerly farmhouse. C16 or earlier, refronted in the C18 in brickwork to south east when the south west lean-to was probably added and re-fenestrated in the C20. Probably originally an open hall-house of three bays, the hall ceiled over and a chimney inserted in the C17. Timberframed with painted brick infill, south west elevation of brick with some sandstone. Tiled roof hipped to the north west and gabled to the south east. Two storeys; irregular fenesteration.
EXTERIOR:The north east elevation has an exposed timber frame of three bays with three curved braces to the first floor, one to the ground floor and midrail. Four casement windows, mainly C20 but of traditional type. South western elevation of red brick in Flemish bond with a stringcourse. First floor has 6 irregularly placed casements of traditional appearance. the ground floor has thee cambered heads but weith C20 windows and doors. the south wesern lean-to is of brick but with sandstone plinth. a c20 lean-to addition has been added to the north west.
INTERIOR: Exposed ceiling beams and tweo rooms have open fireplaces with wooden bressumers.

Listed as a substantially intact timber-framed, probably late medieval hall-house with one elevation re-fronted in brick in the C18.
