GV II
House. Dated 1750; extended circa early C19. Painted stone rubble. Slate roof with gabled ends and red clay crested ridge tiles. Gable-end stacks with short red brick shafts.
PLAN: 2-room plan with central through-passage; kitchen on left and parlour on right, both heated from gable-end stacks. Rear outshut raised to two storeys circa early C19.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-bay west front with small circa late C19 6-pane sashes and smaller 4-pane sash at centre first floor; central doorway with recessed C19 panelled and glazed door; small stone tablet to left of centre inscribed with date 1750. Rear outshut raised to two storeys, central stair window and C19 casement on first floor to left; other rear windows and door late C20.
INTERIOR: Panelled partitions to through-passage with 2-panel doors and slate floor; former kitchen fireplace on left has chamfered timber bressumer and oven; exposed joists reinforced, 2-panel doors and panelled partition on first floor. Landing balustrade of staircase has stick balusters and moulded handrail; remainder of staircase replaced. Roof structure altered.
A largely complete dated mid C18 small house.
