House, now shop and gallery. Late C18 with later additions and
alterations including shop front of late C19. Stucco over brick
to front facade, otherwise reddish-brown brick in English bond
with plain tile roof, left brick stack with oversailing course
and pots; purple brick cambered arches to return.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. First floor has 8/8
sashes; second floor has 4/4 sashes; all in plain reveals and
with sills and voussoired flat arches. Shop front at left: end
pilasters, panelled apron, turned modillions and plate glass
windows with off-centre entrance a part-glazed door with
overlight; double plank doors at right and end pilaster;
continuous frieze and cornice.
Right return: ground floor has 2 full-height shallow recesses
with cambered arches. 3-course first-floor band, then tall
round-arched shallow recess. Rear range.
INTERIOR: retains some original joinery to ground floor,
otherwise not inspected.
Nos 26-34 (even) form a group with Nos 2-16 (consecutive) Edgar
Street (qqv).
