2 semi-detached houses, No.24 abuts the Vicarage (qv) to the
east. c1830-40 with later additions and alterations. Brick
with painted stucco dressings, slate roof, hipped to west end,
2-span at east end; 4 ridge stacks, 2 to party-wall, 2 to east
gable, most with oversailing details, all with pots.
Double-depth, asymmetrical plan, entrance to No.24 in front
elevation, entrance to no. 25 in west-return. Single-storey
service wings to rear.
3 storeys and cellar. 2 first-floor windows, 8/8 sashes to
left ground-floor and first-floor, 3/3 sashes to second-floor;
all in plain reveals with flat gauged brick arches and sills;
right ground-floor has C20 canted bay with transom and mullion
window; hipped slate roof to bay extends over 5-panel door,
top section C20 multi-pane glazed, centre panel raised and
fielded, bottom panels flush-beaded. Door to no. 25 in
left-return, 5-panel, top pair and centre raised and fielded,
bottom pair flush-beaded, panelled reveals, fluted architrave,
petal pattern fanlight.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Iron gate and cast-iron posts from local
foundry accessing side-entry to No.25.
