House. Late C18 with later additions and alterations including
C20 range to rear. Pinkish-red brick in Flemish bond with
concealed roof and right end brick stack; cast-iron railings. 3
storeys on basement and with attic to gable, 3 first-floor
windows. Ground and first floors have 6/6 sashes, second floor
has 3/3 sashes; all in plain reveals and with flat arches of
gauged brick. Basement openings concealed. entrance to left:
flight of 6 roll-edged steps, curved on plan, to
3-decoratively-panelled door with fanlight with radial glazing
bars. Porch has Doric columns, entablature and modillion hood.
Crowning band, coped parapet. Basement has 4/4 Yorkshire sashes.
Right return: 3 first-floor windows. First and second floors have
blind windows with glazing bars; ground floor has 6/6 and 3/3
sashes in plain reveals and with sills; all with flat arches of
gauged brick. Crowning band continues from front facade; attic to
gable has casement window. Curvilinear and stepped gable end.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearhead area railings and stick balustrade
to sides of steps with wreathed handrail; lattice balustrade to
landing.
