Symmetrical pair of cottages. c.1925. Probably by Leslie Mansfield for Gordon Russell. Coursed squared stone with ashlar and reconstituted stone dressings. Hipped thatched roofs with three coped brick ridge stacks. Two storeys: two window range. Windows are steel framed casements with leaded glazing, mainly with stone mullions. Front has a pair of three-light windows flanked by board doors with reconstituted stone gabled hoods on brackets. Beyond, two-light windows. Above, two eyebrow dormers with three-light windows with wooden mullions. Returns have a four-light window on each floor. At the rear, a continuous recessed porch with pairs of windows, and doors in the return angles. Above, thatched dormers with two-light wood mullioned casements. Beyond, on each side, a gabled projection, two storeys, with a two-light window with wooden mullions on the first floor.

INTERIOR: plain rooms with close boarded doors and C18-style latches. Fireplaces have shallow brick surrounds, painted. Staircase balustrade and handrail modified. Original plan retained.
