GV II

House, used C19 as a boarding school, now a dental surgery.
Late C18, with minor C20 alterations, red brick with stucco
dressings, rendered sides and rear, slate roof with partly
external gable stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 5-bay front with lower 2-storey wing to
rear. 1st floor stucco band, and dentilled wooden eaves
cornice. Recessed double panelled doors under semicircular
fanlight with semicircular stucco arch, flanked by single
tripartite plain sashes. To left a coach entry with segmental
stucco arch and keystone. To 1st floor 5 glazing bar sashes,
with 5 slightly smaller similar windows to 2nd floor. All
windows have cambered stucco arches with keystones. To the
right a C20 lean-to single-storey extension. Rear wing has 3
semicircular-headed C20 lights.
