Also known as: Priory Gate PRIORYGATE.
Gateway. Built in 1816 from the old materials of the C14
gatehouse which stood approx. 50m farther north. Dressed
stone. Medieval Revival style. Plain chamfered arches with
hoodmoulds and mask stops to south, crenellated parapet and
slab coping. Central roadway flanked by single pedestrian
arches. Buttresses at the west end. Lamp brackets over each
arch on the south side.
