Cottage. C19, but of earlier origin; later alterations.
Whitened roughcast on brick with high rendered plinth and
plain timber bargeboards; slate roof with rendered stack at
gable end.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 1-window gable end to street. Entrance in
left return. Windows on both floors of gable end are of 2
lights and metal framed with top-hung vents. Left return:
front door is 4-panelled and half-glazed in heavy frame under
edge moulded stone hood on simple consoles. Old fixed 6-pane
window to left of the entrance and small metal window, with
night vent, to right. At first floor level a 2-light metal
framed window similar to those in gable end is contained in
gabled half dormer.
INTERIOR: old cottage staircase with winders and stick
balusters. Wide boarded doors in old frames hung on old `T'
hinges. Cased ceiling beams.
