House. Late C18 with early C19 extension. By George Cripps.
Brown brick, original part in English bond, extension in
Flemish bond; slate roof with rendered stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 3-bay front to original house, with
2-storey 1-bay extension to right. Front door is 6-panelled
with radial fanlight in plain round-arched doorcase with
panelled reveals. Original house has two 6/6 sashes to both
floors; extension has 8/8 sashes on both floors. Ground floor
windows have flat arches of painted gauged brick; all have
painted sills.
INTERIOR: 4-panel and 6-panelled doors, some of the latter
hung as double doors. C18 hob grate in west-left room.
Chamfered C18 beams. Dog-legged staircase with cut and
bracketed string.
