Barn. Probably C18. Timber-frame on tall brick plinth, the lower panels with brick nogging, the upper panels weatherboarded. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends.
PLAN: 3-bay barn with central threshing bay with opposing cart entrances.
EXTERIOR: SW front has central cart entrance with plank double doors. At rear [NE] the central doors have been removed and a large C20 shed has been built against the barn. The C19 cattle-shelter at the NW end and the cart-shed and stables at the SE end are not included.
INTERIOR: The 3-bay frame is largely complete. Jowled wall-posts supporting tie-beam and collar queen-post trusses with struts; trenched through-purlins; later common-rafters and ridgeboard; wall-framing complete, posts and rails, and long straight tension-braces in each end wall; lower panels with brick nogging, upper panels weatherboarded.
