Pair of semi-detached houses. c1820-50. Stucco over brick with
hipped slate roof and stucco ridge stacks; iron railings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows with service range
at left. Doric end pilasters, first-floor band. 6/6 sashes, in
plain reveals and with sills. Central entrance, 3-panel door
with sidelights and overlight with glazing bars, within porch
with paired pilasters. Service range has 8/8 sash and 2/2
horizontal-pane sash to first floor.
Shurdington Road facade (right return): 2 storeys with attics
and on basements, 5+1 first-floor windows. Bow window from
basement through ground floor. Stucco detailing includes Doric
pilaster strips to ends and between windows rising from band
at ground floor and which interrupt first-floor band; tooled
architraves to windows, those to ground floor with cornices
and recesses beneath. 6/6 sashes where original, all in plain
reveals and with sills. Right end entrance set back, flight of
roll-edged steps to 4-panel door with overlights with glazing
bars. Two C20 roof dormers.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: blind boxes to ground floor, at left.
Railings to sides of steps have embellished rods and wreathed
handrail.
