Friends Meeting House, now health club. 1835. Ashlar over
brick, with slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 1:3:1 first-floor windows, the outer
break forward. Plinth, first-floor band; crowning cornice and
blocking course. First floor has 4/4 sashes in plain reveals
and with sills. Ground floor has outer casements, otherwise
windows interrupted by solid porch between breakforwards;
steps to central entrance: double plank doors and plain
pilasters to architrave, with frieze, cornice and blocking
course raised to centre. Lower 2-storey bay at right has 2/2
sashes to first floor; ground floor has steps to entrance a
4-flush-panel door between 2/4 sashes. Surmounting frieze and
cornice.
