Grotto. Erected after 1875, probably by Sir Henry Tate. Built of concrete with some artificial stone and some brickwork to top of cavern. Sunken pathway of crazy-paving and stone steps flanked by rocks' extending some 70 metres with spurs passing under bridge to east and incorporating at least two caverns. Planting troughs incorporated. Part of a series of garden structures.
