College building, now converted as accommodation. 1841-1842.
Sir Charles Barry. Stucco with steeply pitched slate roof
behind parapet. Rectangular plan with gable ends and 3 gables
to street.
1 storey; east elevation 3 bays flanked by tall, Tudor-type
chimneys. Door to north elevation with pointed, moulded arch
and coat of arms in recessed panel above. Main windows are
square-headed mullioned and transomed casements in plain
reveals. Continuous moulding along parapet and around gables.
Decorative rainwater heads.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUSBIDIARY FEATURES: iron railings with decorative standards
flanking gate to south end of building.
Old Grammar School forms a group with Dulwich Old College and
entrance gates and piers, College Road (qqv).
