Pump in courtyard at Penrose
Almshouses

Pump. Probably late C17/early C18. Timber casing; lead roof;
iron spout and handle. Simple timber casing in the shape of a
vertical box; lead capping with lead rolls to the corners and
a lead acorn finial. The casing has a hole for the spout and
curved handle.
Sited in the centre of the pitched stone courtyard at Penrose
Almshouses (qv).
