Large house, now shop. Mid C19. Solid rendered walls. Roof not
visible from street.
3 storeys. 2-window range with one window on rounded corner.
7-window return front to Paternoster Row with a further window
on section of rear wall facing E. Ground storey to High Street
has late C20 shop front. 2nd-storey windows above are of 3
lights enclosed in a single moulded architrave with
entablature, the middle of which breaks forward as a segmental
pediment on consoles. Corner window single-light with
triangular pediment on consoles. All 3 windows linked by a
raised band at cornice level. 3rd-storey windows have moulded
architraves, those facing High Street of 2 lights. Plain
sashes throughout. Prominent bracketed eaves cornice. Latter
continues on to return front and 1-window section of rear
wall. Most openings in return front are blind, but 4 windows
in 2nd storey have 6-paned sashes and 5 windows in 3rd storey
have 6 or 8-paned sashes. Both upper-storey windows in rear
wall have 6-paned sashes. INTERIOR not inspected.
