House in use as offices. c1830s with alterations of the 1980s
(information from the occupant). Mass wall construction,
stuccoed and blocked out; slate roof; stacks not visible from
the front; cast-iron rainwater goods. Double-depth plan with
side entrance and stairs rising axially between front and rear
rooms; basement kitchen.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and basement. Asymmetrical but regular
3-bay front; eaves cornice. 1980s segmental-headed doorway to
left with C20 glazed door with side lights. 2 ground and 3
first floor 2-pane sashes, probably with C20 architraves. Rear
elevation preserves some small-pane double-hung C19 sashes.
INTERIOR: original stick baluster stair with wreathed
handrail; original joinery includes skirtings, some doorcases
and shutters. Terracotta floor tiles in former basement
kitchen.
